Hello Fellow Escapee, Jodi and I are heading to Texas, hopefully next week, depending upon our ability to get our Roam Home ready in a timely fashion. Jodi has family south of Dallas and in Austin, so that is our first place to start the Texas visit. After Austin we wish to head to Big Bend, and hopefully visit there before it gets to hot for our Minnesota blood. Do you have any recommendation for things to see, events, happenings, etc, that we should see? The internet is very helpful, but you only get to see what someone has posted. Maybe we can get some tips on other worthy places. We were recommended to camp at Chisos Basin when we get to Big Bend. We have a 5.0TA behind a full sized truck, crew cab and 8 ft bed. Do you feel we can navigate the road down into this campground? It looks like a busy time of year at that park - we seldom make reservations ahead of time as we just lolligag along our way, especially now that we are retired. Any advice? Thx, Jodi and George
