Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. I had to do a little research. The campground at Thompson causeway is only open through the 24th of October I believe. If it were me I would stay at Scott County Park. One loop ( the biggest area) is open year round but water at the site is shut off at the end of October. There is a central water hydrant that’s frost free and is available year round. It’s 13 miles or
20 minutes from Scott County park to Princeton Iowa. We had the Mississippi River Talley there when we got flooded Out at Thomson one year. Find the website at my county parks.gov or something like that .
