Iowa Dave, For some reasons I am just seeing this post. Appreciated your response. We are getting our Escape in Feb 2022. and it will definately have the EScape recommended WDH.
Do hope you get on the road this next year.

Hi Don
Congrats on your purchase of a 19. We bought a 19 in 2013 from AZ Jack in Tucson. It was a great trailer. Four years later we bought Jack and Nancy’s 21 and sold the 19 to a fellow who lives about a hundred miles from us. The great thing about these trailers is the overall dependability which means that Jack and I and Glenn ( from LaCross) and I are still good friends. You may or may not have read that I dodged a truck tire off a semitrailer at 65 MPH in Ohio a couple years ago with the 21 behind the Highlander with evasive maneuver driving. Without the WDH I would have put the rig on its side and maybe worse. Two younger guys were about 500 yards behind me in a pickup, saw it all and were probably wondering how they were going to drive around the wreckage. As they passed me about a mile up the road, they both looked over us. The surprise on their face was “I can’t believe that old bastard could drive like that.” And they gave me the thumbs up. So you never know when things can get tight and the WDH helps the rig stay tight together. Thanks for the kind words. I’m 73 and looking forward to the camping season again this year as we didn’t do much last year. Best of luck to you always.
Iowa Dave.
