Hi, Escape Artist, we are interested in knowing what Formica counter top you have? We like the light and shiny look of it...makes your unit look airy and open. Also, if you don't mind sharing, what flooring did you pick out to coordinate with the Formica?
We have ordered a 5.0 TA and delivery is expected Nov 2.
    Thanks,
    Dbljac (Jay and Peggy)

Hey Alf, I just purchased my 2016 Colorado 4x4 CC with a 6' box. I don't take position of my 5.0 TA till July 2017 so I have a bit of time to get the hitch installed. Your Nissan is a 6' right? What is the cab to hitch centre distance? I am trying to decide what brand of hitch and if a slider is needed. What are your thoughts and experience ?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Hi: War Eagle... I am very likely to buy another Frontier. My only complaint is the SES(Spend entire savings) light keeps coming on for the same reasons I've had fixed under warranty and not. The truck continues to perform well @ 130,000kms. Not the highest mpg, not towing, but what can I expect of a 4 LTR. V6. I'm sure a 5 LTR. F150 would guzzle more.
In a pinch it all comes down to $$$$'s at hand. The new diesel Canyon is interesting... but spendy at 50 grand CD$
    Regards Alf

Hi Alf. If something happened to your Frontier today, would you replace it with another one? We're getting a new 2017 Escape 21', and like many, we're looking for a new tow vehicle that has ample power during the 10% of the time we're towing but good fuel economy for the 90% of the time we're not. Lots of owners brag on their Ford F-150 2.7L Ecoboost, but man those things are complicated! We keep vehicles until they drop, and I'd hate to have to pay to fix a turbo or replace a computer bank once out of warranty. We really like the Frontier, but plan to spend a good bit of time camping in the Rockies, so we worry about power. So, would you get another Frontier for your purposes, and do you think it would be a good choice for us given our situation (pulling a 21' in the Rockies)? Any suggestions or recommendations? Your insight would be appreciated. Dale

Hi: Woodguy... The short bed Nissan would require a pin extender. The type that clamps onto the trailer pin and extends out about 9"s. Popup Ind's makes one and I recommended a member of the forum get one... He was thrilled to have it as his long bed truck got totalled and on short notice all he could get was a short bed!!!
There are lots of detractors on the forum who say it can't be done and other than a rather heavy pin weight... ours runs 850#s, ready to camp... it can be done.
Good luck on the quest to a 5.0TA. Alf aka escape artist

    Hi Escape Artist,

My name is Bernie. We live in La Center, WA. We are considering buying a 5.0 TA like yours. I see that you have quite a bit of experience pulling the 5.0 with a Nissan Frontier. That's why I am contacting you.

We have a 2016 Frontier crew cab 4x4 short bed. I see that yours is the long bed. I am interested in your thoughts about whether I can tow the 5.0 TA with my truck. The bed is going to be the issue and how/where the hitch attaches. Thereafter, the big issue is going to be the interference between the nose of the trailer and the back of the cab. Also, the back of the box interfering with the front of the trailer, perhaps

    Looking forward to your reply.

Any thing that you would have to offer would be greatly appreciated as well as the names of any other Escape owners who tow with the Frontier short box.

Hey Alf. No black cherry bourbon on the BCLC shelves but did find a toasted caramel whiskey. Smooth!

Hi: C&G in FL... Our "Stinky Slinky" tube had a hose in it. Any connections for the dump end for campground site sewers are your responsibility. Wallomart has the screw on ends you may need, but you can use the dump stations without them.
Our original 5.0 hose lasted several years before being replaced. I had already snapped off a lug on the connector and made a new tube for the trailer before sale. Alf

    Hi Alf and Mary,
Can you tell me if Escape provides a sewer hose at delivery, or do you have to supply your own?
