Hi: Dan& Jan... Been home and gone again but back home now. We attended the Bolerama with 90+ other fiberglass trailers near Niagara Falls. Boy were we busy giving tours. No discoveries other than the 5.0TA tows better... if you can imagine that. Slight drop in mpg's like about 1mpg less. Not bad I'd say.
One of the few of us 5.0TA owners at the Escape Rally in Osoyoos BC. traded his new Frontier for a TitanV8... Now he's complaining about the gas mileage. He thought the trailer would be to big for the Frontier. I'm glad I stuck with the Frontier, but the trailer tow mirrors I got while in Florida are a must have.

    Heh Alf and Mary Ann,
I guess you are back home now, planning your next adventure : - ). Hope you got your insurance straightened out!
Except for the extra weight, and so a little more tug on the engine in mountains, did you discover any other things you didn't anticipate?
If you head South, let us know : - )

Hi: Ken& Diana... Glad you could put a deal together with Fran from N.M. I told her your 5.0 was for sale she asked if I knew you personally. She said you wanted a sizable deposit!!! I told here you were a straight shooter so go ahead.
As for the 5.0TA a few inches here and there makes all the diff. in the world. 8" wider down the middle, a few more in the bed area, a few more in the dinette, and 5 more in the head room. WOW!!! Flat floor through out, extra step to the bed and larger 3 way fridge too. More counter space with the sink/stove on the other side, and more storage again. We opted for the solar package and all LED lights inside and out so we can stay unplugged longer. Got the Grp. 29 big battery also. 4 Aluminium road wheels for looks alone, Jack antenna and TV ready.
2 way hot water heater again . Right now we are hooked up to elect. in Jellystone CG. in Frankenmuth Mich. Just finished a world famous all you can eat chicken dinner at Zhenders. WHEW!!! Got the quick connect propane for a Dickinson Marine Spitfire 180 BBQ... works great, no extra bottles of propane to carry.
I thought Reace made it perfect with the 5.0, but with the 5.0TA he made it better!!! Regards Alf& Mary Anne

Hi Alf - long time since last spoke. Good for you on our new 5.0ta. Please give me some info on your choice to switch to the new 5.0ta. Am thinking of placing and order. How do you like so far, what options did you choose, etc......What would you do different?

Hi: Dan& Jan... You're the Doctor...Lol. The 13X22 Exit isn't a Fire Exit. If so Reace would have to put a ladder on the trailer from the roof down. It's just an air vent...marked EXIT. Go figure!!! Not sure there's a shade big enough for the opening, so I made one from a cheap suspended ceiling panel. It's a lot darker up there now but it's night!!!
Bath room seems a bit bigger.
The Fronty is doing OK but it's no Stallion going up the hills. Been in the slow vehicle passing lanes thru the Rockies. Keeping company with the logging trucks!!!
Tonight we are in Ft. McLeod Alberta and heading for Waterton/ Glacier International Park. Then on to Yellowstone in a few days. Gotta be back home before my extra health insurance runs out. I only get 30 days...sounds like a sentence to me.
    Regards Alf& Mary Anne

Wow, that sounds GREAT!!!!!!!! I know you are enjoying it. Looks wonderful.
That little bit of space would be just what the Doctor ordered ... amazing what a difference 8" make. I'd love the lights and moon roof (that's the fire escape hatch if I'm correct, over the bed) sounds good too .... how do you keep the moon light out if you want to? Does it have a shade?
I had a small popup at first, single axle .... and then got a tandem axle popup, and do I ever remember how much smoother that double axle felt. Yes, you don't have that bouncing up/down which causes that constant "jerky" feeling that you feel with a single axle. Only thing I dislike about my 5.0, and it may be a little more pronounced with the shorter frame/axle of the standard (short bed). I think I may look into when they have an opening for a 5.0TA. Actually it is now offically a 5.0! Technically, mine is a 3.0 : - )
Send pictures when you can. The elevated floor in the bath is interesting. Same footprint?
How does the Frontier pull the larger trailer?
Where are you guys, and where are you going?
Love to that sweet wife for us,
    Dan
