We love the Lagun and we would definitely have all four corners of the table cut again. Having all four corners cut means the table is never situated wrong, just a quarter turn if you want it longer or wider. If I were to do our build over I would not have counter extensions in the dinette as the table will touch the extensions sometimes when turning the table the table is positioned just wrong. This is not a big deal, just bumps it but doesn't interfere with adjusting the table. If only 1/2 of the corners were cut it would definitely be a pain as I think it would interfere more. I will likely remove one of the extensions, my wife likes using one.
Yes, we have used the dinette as a bed two different times. The four corners haven't any affect on the bed, you do not feel that area. Two 18 year old boys slept there once and my daughter and granddaughter used the bed on a recent trip, there is no give in the notched area.
