HI rotorbudd. Your advise regarding the sound and vibration mitigation for our dometic ac was very helpful. We treated the interior noise issue with the sound deadening sheets form Noico (150 mil self adhesive purchased from Amazon). We cut to fit all the hard surfaces inside the interior ac cover as you had shown in your photos on the previous post. That decreased the level of noise from the fan quite a bit. We did not use any sound insulation on the exterior cover since that did not seem to be an issue for us. We then treated the vibration issue of the compressor with the sorbothane bushings and washers you recommended. We bought these directly from the Isolateit website. The bushings are 0510002-50-12 (1 pack of 12), and the washers are 0510001-50-12 (2 packs of 12). We removed the original harder rubber bushing, metal washer and cotter pin at each of the 4 compressor mounting posts. We stacked these new bushings and washers on each mounting post for the compressor after removing the original, harder rubber bushing. Each post required 3 bushings and 4 washers on the post below the metal plate. We then placed 1 more sorbothane washer, the original metal washer and cotter pin above the metal plate to secure each post. Your photos were helpful and it becomes clear once one examines the construction of the mounting. The overall result is a softer, more cushioned bed for the compressor and greatly reduced noise and vibration inside the trailer. We think we can actually sleep with the ac running now if it's needed. Thank you agin for your information. Don't really understand why rv ac manufacturers don't try for a quieter system to begin with. Maybe they need to hire an airplane mechanic as a consultant.
