fwiw, on the classic 21's, the door folds back flush so probably doesn't need removal ... but the screen might.

the sliding screen on my classic 21 is actually the narrowest spot, that and the bed just inside the door makes for some tight maneuvering.

replacing the RMD8551 in a E21 would be a difficult project, I don't believe they'll fit through the door.
