I can't say I ever heard ours come on, but on the 21 its at...

both the pigtail and the trailer-side wiring comes up through the floor RIGHT next to that metal box, and there's zero slack.

if I ever need to replace the pigtail, I'll do something like that.

as I think I already said, my 2014 doesn't have any fuses in the battery leads, just the main DC cables through the thermal breaker to the power center. but I also don't have a built in inverter.

volt meter checks with the TV off and on, at all stages of the DC connections to the fridge.... there's probably a sketchy connection somewhere.

most vehicle factory tow wiring has that disconnect relay (at least my fords and toyotas have had it), so if the car is off, the vehicle power to the trailer is disconnected...

I do try and unplug...

I don't have an inverter... but on my E21, those big red-n-black wires that exit the gooped hole, they A) aren't fused, and B) go to the power center.


IIRC, Escape offers a 1000 or 1200 watt...

where does that fused red wire go? mine only has the main red and black wires from the battery box to the power center.
