Only the River Road is available for my Sat night stay, so I got a site there.

Eggs Rally and S'More for 2025 will be held 1/ 17-20 / 2025 in Live Oak , Florida

Is there a central grouping of Escape campsites? Looking to book but wondering what section is closest to the Escape crowd.

    Back-up camera mount

New 5.0. I ordered the back-up camera wiring. Looking at where I guess it would be at the center top running light. Did not see any screws to take off the cover and inspect for wiring. Looks like I would have to cut the caulking around the light and go from there. Sure don't want to do that...

    Low water drains?

Going to winterize my New 5.0 after I made a short maiden voyage. I'll use the antifreeze method. Question - On a previous travel trailer I had low water drains for hot/cold in addition to the fresh water drain. Only see the fresh water drain on my 5.0. No foam insulation, I think I gave it a...

    Shower Curtain Rollers

If the rollers start to make it difficult to pull the curtain back/forth, I'll add the more traditional setup Buzz505 has.

    Shower Curtain Rollers

Just got up and went out to the camper to try again. This time I just pulled the plastic sheet back with more force and the wheels worked ok. They are so small and fragile looking I was hesitant to just pull the plastic curtain back with more force than I thought I should. Figured it was...

    Shower Curtain Rollers

Did a search but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. New 5.0, getting ready for the maiden voyage. The shower curtain rollers seem very, very cheap and the tiny wheels do not slide back/forth without individually helping each little roller move along the track. Really don't understand...

    Lagun placement with filler board?

After playing around with different locations without installing it, I ended up putting it in the normal spot against the back wall midway across. It does leave a gap when you slide the filler board in, but I tried it out before installing the table and the gap is of no concern at all when...

Propane Tank area very tight - how about this?

Wasn't sure myself so I took a look. Yes there is a hole in the bottom bracket area and underneath is about a 4" flex hose leading straight down.

Propane Tank area very tight - how about this?

Based on another thread idea, I took out the side panels in my new 5.0 to get better access to the propane tanks. Worked great. The propane storage is a very tight space and it's a bear to get channel locks on the tank valve to snug it tighter than I can get by hand. Can't rotate the tanks due...

    New 5.0 - cooktop question

Thanks for the tips. After disconnecting the propane and opening it back up very, very slowly and running the furnace for ten minutes, no soap. So I'll raise the white flag and hit Retro Renos on my way to Central Florida and let them have at it.

    New 5.0 - cooktop question

I didn't get the foam underside, so I checked the propane lines. They are very simple in their routing and I don't see any opportunity for a kinked hose. Tapped on the stove regulator under the cabinet. The burners do not have a cap on them like the residential versions, so nothing to take...

Lagun install done? No not quite.

I'll answer my own question. I painted 2x4's black and used them as spacers to push the post bracket out to clear the edge of the cushions. Got some 5" bolts to reach through to the inside and with a steel "L" shaped brace inside it seems to be plenty sturdy.

    New 5.0 - cooktop question

Did not get the foam, so I'll take your suggestion and check the lines underneath. I'm headed on my maiden voyage to central Florida in about 10 days. I can swing by the new satellite repair/retail shop in Jacksonville, FL that Escape partnered with and get them to take a look if I don't get it...

    New 5.0 - cooktop question

I checked my manuals and online but cannot find where the thermal coupling is located. This is a top side pic of the cooktop.

    New 5.0 - cooktop question

Tried the stick lighter but no soap. The clicker seems to be working ok. Other than making sure the propane tank valves are open I don't know what else to check. I don't see any valve on the incoming gas line to the stove underneath the cabinet. Like I mentioned above, my furnace works, so I...

    New 5.0 - cooktop question

Just got my new propane tanks filled. Hooked them up to test the furnace and cooktop. Furnace works fine, yeah. When I turn on the cooktop to light (Dometic two burner) I do not hear any gas. Since the furnace works, I know I'm getting propane ok. Any advice?

    New RV appliance warranty registration

I found this on the Suburban web site, the others I send an email asking about registration as their websites did not have an obvious link to register. So maybe most manufacturers do not need to be registered. Suburban does not require you to register your appliance for your limited warranty to...

    New RV appliance warranty registration

New 5.0. Trying to register all the important appliances online. Is this necessary? Is it dependent on each manufacturer? For example, Suburban requires registration, Dometic doesn't, etc. I ask because it's a royal pain and/or impossible to get the serial # off some of the appliances after...

Lagun install done? No not quite.

All proud of myself for getting the Lagun table install completed in my u-shaped 5.0 dinette. Bracing job went well and it's nice and solid. So let's put those cushions back on and be done with it. But wait, I forgot I ordered the expanded cushion option that pushes the bench cushion out 22" to...

    5.0 floor thickness?

Yikes, if a 1/2" plywood floor is resting on a thin bed of resin attached to the fiberglass a 3/4" screw may be too long even considering it's also going through the vinyl flooring. Think I'll use something shorter than a 3/4" screw. Thanks for the feedback.

    5.0 floor thickness?

Just took delivery of my 5.0 a couple days ago. I'm installing a Lagun table and will be adding a metal brace in the backside of the U-Shaped dinette. Question - what is the thickness of the underlying wood floor and how much clearance is that wood from the fiberglass? I want to use at least...

    Filler board vs Springfield table

Just got delivery of my 5.0 and working on the lagun location. I'm not understanding your explanation of "If we want the table up and have it in lounge mode then we just add back the filler board" How do you add the filler board with the lagun table up? Doesn't the board get in the way? Do you...

    Lagun placement with filler board?

Got my 5.0 delivered a couple days ago and trying to decide where to attach the lagun table. I got the no table option as I don't want the large table. I really like the filler board as it turns the dinette into a much better lounge area. Solo traveler, so no use at all for the large table top...

    Delivery inspection?

My new 5.0 will be delivered in about a week. I've had travel trailers before so have some knowledge of RV related items. Of course the driver is not responsible for anything directly related to the unit, but what would this group suggest I inspect for while the trailer is being unloaded...
