17' Escape

We have a RAV4 V6 and are interested in getting a 17' trailer plan B and we are worried about the weight. Does anyone have experience pulling this size of trailer?

I travel single, and have pulled one for about 20K miles so far. 2010 RAV4 Sport (V6 & tow package). 24MPG highway, 22MPG around town & 15MPG towing, mostly on secondary roads. Mine weighs just under 3000 lbs loaded. You definitely know it is back there, but I like the combination. Only dislikes - I'd like a place to carry a generator (although I have done OK without one so far) and I hated the run flat tires that come on the 2010 Sport model.
