New 17b F2 owner here! What size comforter/duvet works best on the dedicated 3/4 double bed for a single person? Since there is no place for it to hang over, how do you “make the bed” and have it look neat? Also, I’ve been reading about condensation around the bed and am concerned about bedding staying dry. Thanks in advance!😊

Congrats on your new purchase. I am awaiting delivery of my 17BF1. Someone posted in an earlier thread a product called Hypervent which is used under the mattress.

Everyone has their own technique for making beds. I'm sure you will get a variety of suggestions. It can be a challenge to put a fitted sheet on a mattress in the trailer, so my way of coping is to have a foam topper (which came encased in a fabric cover) and to simply curl the fitted sheet corners around the 2" foam. Then, I add a flat sheet so that the near edge only has a couple extra inches past the mattress, and I tuck the foot and the far wall side under the topper. I do the same with a lightweight blanket and a second, heavier blanket. I keep a couple of throws folded up at the foot, near the wall, and this helps keep everything from pulling out during the night, plus I'm ready in case it's freezing outside and the heater quits working.

With this method, it doesn't matter what size the blankets are, because you simply tuck all the excess under the foam topper, and the more there is underneath the better the whole thing stays in place.

For a single traveler, why worry about having it "look neat"? (I guess you can tell, I'm a guy, LOL. For me, "functional" is the name of the game.)

We use a combination blanket/sheet system like this. Standard RV Superbag-www.rvsuperbag.com
It is essentially a roomy sleeping bag with Velcro’d sheet liners that does not need tucking in. I can’t remember which brand we have, it has Velcro running the full length of the bottom and sides. I’ll be home in a week or two and will which brand we have.
We like it. Easy to use and a good fit.

The original bag of this concept was the Trav-Sac. We bought one in 1989 and have used it in 3 trailers. It works very well in our 5.0. We bought a extra set of sheets (RV Super Bag still makes them on order) so we could wash in route if necessary, but the set we got with the bag is still working well. The sheets for both sides are one piece. Velcro out and wash, the summer side and winter side zip apart and each can be washed in a large cloths washing machine. Very good concept,
