Hi all Vancouver Islanders - if anyone wants a pristine mattress for their rig we're giving ours away. It's the 51" x 74" one that comes new with the 17B F2. We picked our 2024 17B up in September, immediately put a cover and fitted sheet on the mattress and then slept on it for a total of 19 nights before we winterized.
The mattress is great. SO comfy. Real quality. However - we have two niggles; 1 - changing sheets is just too much for us to want to do on a regular basis (i.e. can't be bothered with the wrestling and wrenching), and 2 - we've got two flip up counters, one in the kitchen one on the side of the fridge enclosure, and getting them up and down with the 10" height of the mattress is another chore we choose not to deal with.
We've ordered a 6" Dunlop natural latex mattress with a 1" breathable underlay and are having it cut to 50" x 73". We feel that will deal with both of our issues nicely.
Our Dunlop mattress will be ready March 22nd. If you're on the Island, or know of someone who is, who would like to score an really great mattress at no charge please reach out to me ASAP. Thanks!
