Hello everybody:
My wife and I are the proud new owners of 2011 17B. It was purchased from the parents of our neighbours and lived 4 driveways down the road. The trailer is in remarkable condition and came with complete documentation and log book including the original build sheet and paper work for all items in the unit.

We have been out on one trip and are already learning things about trailer camping.

I have lots of reading to do on this forum and realize how much knowledge resides here. Thanks in advance for all the help.

To Do list:
First up on the list is a good waxing,
then a rust treatment on the frame,
then plastic painting the vent covers.

Then a storage box for the front. Does anyone know if the gen2 storage box works for the gen1 17b or should I just make one from checker-plate aluminium?

Perhaps even spray foam for the underbelly?

Lots of questions but I will spend some time reading first.

Thanks again, We are happy to be part of the Escape family.

Oh yah we are trailer # 487

Hey SCD.
Just a tip.Think about doing the 2 inch blue dense styro foam under the floor less costly and pretty easy.Several members have done that. I did my 21 footer six years ago.Still in place.
We had an 17 for eleven years it had # 35.Some time I miss it.
Happy trails and welcome to the club.
Allan.

Hello Allen:
Thanks for the tip. I will look into the idea of solid foam insulation. I hope to use it a far bit this summer, Perhaps I will insulate the flooring in the early autumn so we camp go out in October.

I plan to use it for a while before I get too focused on mods or enhancements.

Thanks for the tip though
