2015 Escape Trailer Production Schedule

Given that the U.S. has ten times the population of Canada, and the exposure Escape has had through forums and word of mouth, I figure it would be fairly safe to assume 10:1.

Yes, population, but I wonder how much coincides with the dollar situation to the benefit of Americans.

I don't think many Americans are aware of the exchange rate. Just extremely happy when they learn what they'll get because of it.
A lot of Canadians head south to shop and are keenly aware.

In our case--we placed an order for a 17B last Dec. (pick up Aug. 14th), and the favorable exchange rate was a key factor in our decision to buy when we did. Escape's quality and reputation were the primary factors, but we were certainly aware of the exchange rate (it has gotten better since we paid off our trailer), and it convinced us to commit when we did. We were fortunate to be able to take advantage of a rate near the peak when we paid our Utah sales tax on it. Looking forward to many adventures using it!

When we placed our order last Sept, the exchange rate was 1.7 and wasn't a factor in the decision. It was the quality, design, and Reace and Tammy that cinched the deal. Loren

The placement of the decimal can make a huge difference in transactions. The rate we got on our deposit was 1.0772. So things have come a long way in 10 months and I just keep wondering how this affects ETI's bottom line. On the brochure we got last fall it does say that "prices subject to change without notice". Exchange rate wasn't even in the discussion when I first ordered a trailer from them. I'd been looking at Casitas, one deal had fallen through, and I decided to check out Escape. It was the quality and design almost totally that turned me to an Escape. Exchange rates were close to parity back then, and while I was spending more on a new Escape than I would have on a used, or even new, Casita, it just seemed the better value.

The exchange rate may be the closer, but it's the reputation and word of mouth that sells Escapes.

Exactly. The favorable exchange rate was just icing on the cake for us. Even if it had been the other way around, we'd have still bought an Escape.

We recently retired and expect to be able to travel more, so, it's a good time for us to upgrade to a little bit larger trailer. I've always felt like the Casita is as big as we want to tow, BUT on a long trip it's a drag to constantly shift stuff from the car to the trailer in the morning, and back to the car in the evening. I have been looking at the Escapes for a long time, but as long as we were working, it just didn't make sense to make a change. The strong dollar was the push we needed to get off the fence, though: I can't honestly say it's not one of the factors in our decision. That's my story, anyway. :D

We made our decision based on the product. The exchange rate was a nice bonus. I gotta admit when choosing options our list was longer due to favorable exchange rate.

For some reason ETI backed off the dates on the TA to July and August. Might have been posted in error. But they are still a year out on all trailers. If you work there, that is job security. I wonder how busy they were in 2009 with the great recession. Oliver shut down for almost 3 years. Loren

I think they are just swamped with work.
I e-mailed ETI the other day asking if they had interior dimensions available for the drawers in a 17A (ours is done on Sept. 21).

I got a response at almost 8:00 pm tonight from Tammy saying that their summer is very busy, and asking if I could re-send the request next month when they would have a better chance of providing the info.
