2017 19' Exterior Photos

Is the door still molded fiberglass? looks like the one on my Starcraft.
Reace can confirm, but I'm sure that this is an off-the-shelf RV door. The big advantage of going to flat is being able to use ready-made components like this.

I may be a bit biased, and obviously in the minority here, but personally I prefer the old look.

please don't shoot me
The new style is nicely done, but from a purely aesthetic viewpoint, I think I like the classic Trillium/Escape style better, too.

What happens when there is a breeze but not enough that you would want the awning to retract, but it takes that decision away from you? Nope, I prefer the big old "clunky" awning...
When I did a Google search for Dometic case awning arms, I saw some images of what look like add-on bracing arms used with this design of awning. Adding braces and turning off the auto-retract might be possible.

I like what I'm seeing so far. I like the new awning, the lack of side support arms allows for easier access around the side of the trailer. Can't wait for the 21 photos and the full list of standard and options available.

The 19 standards on the website reflects the new changes as well as standard2 burner black stove and ss sink with single lever chrome faucet, medicine cabinet.

Advantage in lowering production costs perhaps. Would be interesting to know the take rate of the "Classic" design vs. new if 2017 model if customers were given a choice.

Like the clean passenger side view without the awning arms.

According to Dometic, the awning lights are in the extended part vs the body, should help with bugs. Also neither refer have fans.

Loving it!!! Also loving the old model I fell in love with!!! Have to wait and see who will win for me. (Don't they say (people): it's the inside that counts...?)

I did this as fast as I could, so it's not perfect. Myron's 19 featured as the top photo, new 19' model at the bottom.

Thanks Donna! I like the larger rear window in the 19 classic.
We are in Chilliwack waiting for our orientation tomorrow morning at 8 AM for our 21 classIc!

Well, have to see a bit more to really evaluate, but at first glance for me I much prefer the lines and look of the classic. The new look is fine so don't pile on, just saying at a first glance for me personally, it's the classic. Need to see more on the frameless Windows, but I don't like the look of them in the pic where they are opened. The awning is interesting in a gimmicky kind of way, but in the pic where it is extended something just seems off to me with how it looks in scale with the trailer. May just be the early pics and angle of the shot. Again, a lot more info needed, but some folks with 2016 orders are going to have some interesting decisions to make.

I was wondering whether a new door was in the works - while I like the classic door and separate screen, it is really hard to get the curved door sealed well (I can always see a little daylight).

Love the look of the new awning!

Ditto

Looks great and I like the changes. I'm just glad there are not enough changes to make me to have to upgrade.:thumb:

I especially like the new awning, in that it need not be fully extended when there isn't room for it or if conditions are too windy.

But, otherwise, we are loving our now 6-months old 21; no upgrade required. :thumb:
