2017 Improvement leaks before 4/1/2016 unveiling...

Improvements and changes are driven by many factors.
- poor performance of existing
- changing trends
- better function of new
- customer desires
- availability of product
- more cost effective for manufacturing
- and many more

Escape does a good job of making these improvements, and does so more often than most manufacturers.

One of the things I like about Escape is that they keep improving their products! It shows that the company is alive and vibrant.

However, I would need to pull a cargo trailer with tools and supplies behind my trailer. That is legal in Alberta, but not everywhere.

Larry (Little House Customs) just finished refitting a step-van (Sprinter?) as his mobile shop, tow vehicle, and store for working on trailers at rallies. Seems to work well for them........

Of course, the problem is that Jim is getting a 5.0TA. You can't tow that with a van, so you would need something in the style of a ToterHome, but with shop (not RV coach) on the truck ahead of the 5th wheel... and smaller than most, of course. Here's a reasonably small one:

..guessing Escape had to make a mold change for these type windows if it has a similar mounting design requirement like many fiberglass truck caps had to deal with.

As with most windows in moulded fiberglass travel trailers, there is no provision in the shape of the shell (and thus the mould) for the windows, other than providing a flat area. The size, position, and number of windows can be changed without leaving obvious "blanks", or requiring mould changes. These windows might mark a departure from that approach, but I doubt it.

Most RV windows are installed in flat panel walls, so even though some windows require specific wall shape preparation, there should be lots of choice of windows that just clamp into an opening in a flat wall (as the current windows do).

frameless windows...seems to be where the horse is headed for 2017 thermal option...at least it appears to be glass...hopefully 2017 model photo release date will show them installed.

When I was at Escape yesterday, I inquired about the beer wench option, but it seems it will not be included with the 2017 model, and I will have to continue to get my own darn beer.

Jim I would have thought that Jasper would be trained to do this, at least it is worth a try.

Cathy, that would be awesome. It would definitely be easier than training Lisa. ;D

I did have a friend who trained his dog (the son of my golden retriver, Mandy) to fetch cans of beer out of the creek when camping. This was all great fun, until he kept brining us more before we ever wanted them, plus he developed a bad habit of chewing aluminum cans (fortunately not the full ones).

Now that I've had a chance to spend time with the bathroom door hinges, I hope there is a better hinge solution coming. Maybe a piano hinge type setup that would have better support for the door.

please share what the issue is with the bathroom door hinges. hopefully you are not having issues with only a year or so on your 2015 Escape.
