2022 5.0 owner

Morning. Just a ‘wanna-be’ here currently. Did you buy yours new or find it used? Any suggestions on options, etc to someone wanting a newish 5.0? Thanks.

Rich, ditto to all three above, except that my 5.0TA is a 2015 model, and is the best trailer I have ever owned. Zero problems in all that time except for a Dam-etic European made refrigerator that stopped working on gas this past summer, replaced by a 12v compressor Norcold which I find far superior, a toilet flush valve that started leaking recently and had to be replaced (easy job), and a couple of outside lights that I had to spray a deoxiifying spray into the switches and operate the switches a few times to “fix” the switches. Remarkably few problems and a great layout. Enjoy yours!

Hello again from rich. Just wondering how you can adhere anything to the vinyl walls in our 5.0. The command strips just fall off after a couple days. My wife wants to hang up a clock in the corner above the dining table.

Hello all,

My name is Rob Prescott. My wife (Sarah) & I are looking to learn more about the Escape 5.0. If possible we'd love to be able to talk/visit with any owners who live in the Northeast/New England area so we could take a first-hand look. Also like to discuss what the best tow vehicle option would be.

Feel free to email me at robsprescott@hotmail.com

Thanks & have a good day

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your search. IMO there is no substitute for seeing one in person.

Through this forum I was fortunate to find a 5.0 owner reasonably near me who generously invited personal tours and discussion of his trailer experiences - an invaluable aid in reaching my decision to place my order.

Welcome Rob, You may want to contact Escape directly and ask if they have any "Ambassadors" in your area with a 5.0. "Ambassadors" are Escape owners who have agreed to show their trailer to prospective buyers. We actually toured 3 different Escape models in our area, via the Ambassador program, before deciding that the 5.0 worked best for us. After taking possession of our 5.0 in March, we have become Ambassadors as well! ...... what goes around comes around.....
Good luck - Jim

Hello Rob and Sara and welcome to the Escape community.

We will be camping with our Escape 5.0 TA at the Chocorua KOA in Chocorua, New Hampshire from May 15-18. Looks like only about 60 miles from Bethel.
If you would like to come by the campground we would be happy to show you our Escape and answer any questions you may have. There should be other Escape owners camping here at the same time who may be willing to talk to you. It would be a good opportunity to compare some different models of Escape trailers.

If this sounds like something you may want to do, let me know and I will get back to you with some more details.

Further to Nepaweb's post, the Chocorua KOA event next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday is the annual 'Spring Fling' Egg Rally, so there will be lots of molded-fiberglass trailers there, including Escapes. If you want to camp there, better check to see if there are sites left.

We'll be there with our Escape 21c. Saturday AM is the announced 'visiting' time, though most will be happy to show their trailers at any time.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies & offer to visit/view. Currently I am shipped out & not back until early June. I will be contacting Escape & asking if they have any "Ambassadors" in my area to talk with when back home.

Have a good trip & all the best, Rob
