2025 Mississippi River Rendezvous - Year 10

Leon and Lindy will be there and happy to help out. Thanks for doing this, Paul

Ed and I would love to attend again. This will be our 3rd year. I always feel so 'at home' when we camp with the Fiber's!
Ed and Lisa

Diane and I will try to attend but we may be on a fall color trip to New England.
As I recall we had trouble getting reservations last year due to campsite remodeling. So we ended up going to Eastern Kentucky to Natural Bridge State Park. Btw it’s a great area to hike and canoe.
We celebrated Halloween in the campground there.

We have camped in Kentucky and Tennessee in the couple weeks before Halloween. I’ve never witnessed so much enthusiasm for Halloween. It coincides with school being out for “fall vacation” so lots of kids in nearly full or full campgrounds especially on weekends. Music, trick or treating, and tons of decorations.

I'm planning to attend this year too. I look forward to seeing those I've met in the past, as well as meeting new friends.

Hi Mary,
Missed seeing you last year, so glad to see that you'll be back. We're also scheduled to cross paths in Alaska this summer, so we can make up for not seeing each other in 2024. :)
Safe travels!

It will be great to see you again!

Do a site search for previous years of the Miss. Rendezvous in:

Rallies, Get-togethers, Gatherings or Events

Details of breweries & eateries, Dutch windmills, Clinton, IA arboretum, museums and other attractions can be found by wading thru the posts.

There are the attractions listed in local tourism booklets and then there are the discoveries of “the road less traveled”.
If you are compiling a possible list of things to do “out of the campground” you’d probably be well advised to post what you’re interested in and folks
who have frequented SE Iowa and the area around Fulton Illinois for quite a few years will no doubt point you in the right direction. There are nature preserve areas, bike trails, full service grocery stores etc nearby. There is also a fish market, church turned into a brewery, casino, pickle ball courts, antique shops, and numerous other Recreation, restaurant, and less popular or common interest attractions. What do you like to do? And if you’re bringing your dog along, there’s a dog parade in the campground mid morning on Saturday. Costumes optional.
Welcome, be prepared to make
Friends and have some fun.

Glad to see more folks coming to this fun rally.

Most folks in our group will be in Potters North. Potters South & Hickory Point are an adjacent loops & very close by. I'd recommend figuring out now what day you want to arrive & booking when reservations open 6 months before that day; sites in Potters North will book up fast.

Besides the rally activities, both organized & spontaneous, there's occasional activity on the river to watch, as well as the water birds in the marsh.

A unique nearby site, which I especially enjoyed, is the Windmill & Windmill Cultural Center in nearby Fulton.

See you in September!
