2025, Oct. 2-5 Fall NOG — Waterloo - Linn County Park

I know the issue with Spring NOG hasn't been resolved YET, but if you're interested in attending Fall NOG it's almost time to make reservations. Waterloo County Park, in Linn County, is on a nine-month reservation window. I've already made my reservation, I'm in the park for a week. Come early, stay late!

This is a nice county park and the Linn County Parks people like us! They call us the 'egg people.' What's not to like? We're quiet, clean and stewards of park. The last NOG we had there was in 2021.

We're going to start reservations in A loop. I'm in site A53. IF the loop fills, I'll contact the parks people and ask them to open B loop. It typically closes on Sept 30, but they've often opened sites just for us (although the restrooms would be winterized and closed). Told you they like us!

Hookup site (water/electric): $35/night. $30/night for Seniors & Disabled Veterans - Dump station available.

Reservations: Waterloo County Park or call (541) 967-3917 during regular business hours.

As usual I'll keep a park map updated and a list of names going for those that have made reservations and posted here: 2025, Oct 2-5 Fall NOG - Northern Oregon Gathering.

I NEED this info for the participants list, please:
First names of adults attending
City, State where you live
Year/Make/Model/Length of your trailer
SITE number that you reserved.

Be sure to let us know if you're newbies to egg gatherings.

Ready. Set. GO!

Glad you're coming. But, you do know this isn't an exclusively Escape gathering, right? While there are a bunch of Escape trailers on the participants list, there are also a bunch that are not. It is an all molded gathering... and friends. Those friends have sold their moldeds and moved on to something else. But they're still welcome as are wannabees.

Yes, we are aware this is an "egg" gathering. We are in a Womens A Frame Campers group "WACs", and most of us no longer have A frames. We are hoping to meet other camping folks in our neck of the woods. We have been to one Escape rally, but this is our first egg (and others) gathering. Thanks for arranging this.

Hi Donna, Maureen and I just reserved site A8 arriving Thursday 10/2 leaving on Monday 10/6. Looking forward to seeing everyone for usually our final campout of the season.

Hi Donna
We are thinking of joining you in Oregon. However, we have a few questions first. George and Paula Rogers from Cranbrook, British Columbia. We have a 2013 - 15A foot Escape. Will there be any bathroom facilities available as we do not have one in our trailer? If B loop is opened up would they also open the bathrooms there? Are there any events planned for these days or is it just a get together? We have been to the Escape rallies in Osoyoos a number of times and thoroughly enjoyed them.

The restrooms in A loop are and will be open. IF they open B loop for us, the restrooms will be winterized and closed. There are NO planned activities other than the Friday Night Dinner on a Stick (not a potluck) and Saturday night pot luck. There's things to do and see in the area, if you haven't been down this way before. (I have a list of the historic covered bridges in the area, if you're interested.) It's hard to explain a NOG, other than the fact everyone likes to visit and not be overly scheduled. Most of us are retired now and were sick of meetings! I'll be putting out the schedule a couple of weeks before the NOG, but honestly not much changes year-to-year. Here's last Fall NOG's, except we won't be at the beach!: 2024, Oct. 3-6 Fall NOG - Northern Oregon Gathering

Hi Donna
The 4 of us are arriving Oct 1 and leaving Oct 6. If you could send us that list of historic covered bridges, that would be great!

Actually the covered bridges info is a website. Covered Bridges

Thank for the names, etc. I'll get all added to the participants list and map by tomorrow.

Hello, Donna.

This is in our backyard! I'll discuss this event with Melody.

There are a couple great parks nearby. The first is McDowell Creek County Park. McDowell Creek Falls County Park · 43170 McDowell Creek Dr, Lebanon, OR 97355

The parking lot is small - perhaps a dozen car capacity. This park is popular with the locals. There is one steep slope at the beginning, but the remainder is moderate to easy IMO.

The second park is Cascadia County Park. Cascadia County Park · 48241 Cascadia Dr, Cascadia, OR 97329

Melody and I really like this park's stream-side trail. The trail takes you up to a small-ish waterfall.

Chip and Charlotte Dixon here. We have a 2019 17B and we're coming from Arcata, California. We were at one previous NOG at Fort Stevens State Park. We just booked site A51 today. Looking forward to seeing other "Egg People" :)

Donna, all sites are booked except ADA. Will you be able to let us know if the B loop is opened or do we have to keep checking in?
Let me give them a call and see if they'll open B loop for us. I'll give them a call on Tuesday. I've found Monday's are very busy for that office. I'll post here when I know more.... one way or the other! Finger crossed!

Just to know, I did contact Linn County Parks the beginning of the week. A couple of emails back and forth with the Reservations Specialist, Karrie King. Now we wait for the Parks Director to make a decision. I'll let y'all know when I know more.

Thanks Donna. We didn't reserve as are still unsure of our plans for our trip to Prince Rupert, Vcr Island, then down to CA.
