Wow!...it seemed like it was taking forever to get here! We finally received the molds and the first prototype is under construction. I will post complete build photos on this thread of the entire construction. There is very little time to complete this unit in time for the Escape Rally in June so we will be working late nights to make it in time.

Hello Everyone,

It is now Saturday afternoon and we have sprayed the first set of shells.

As you can see they are now being bonded together.

Hello Everyone,

Even though it is a long weekend here in BC several of the staff have been working hard.

Some more photos for you to appreciate. The first photo is of the frame and the second photos is of the shell as it comes out of the mold.... Yes, that is correct 'She's Finally Here' 10mths gestation right on schedule. ;)

This morning the 21' Escape spent the day in the 'Cut Bay' which means we were able to cut out the windows. Later today the headliner and flooring will be installed.

- A day at the beauty Salon :)

We hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine and 'Victoria Day'.

Hope you're getting overtime.:D

I think overtime is something Reace gets quite often!!!
To the benefit of us Escape Trailer owners.

These photos are really exciting to watch as progress is made.
Thanks Reace.

Thanks for the updates, Reace! It's looking good :)

I see it's being moved around on just one axle; no problem while it is light and presumably to make it easier to turn.

I like the stabilizers: crank-down single-legs which are easy to use and add lateral stability and some longitudinal stability, as well as taking out the up-and-down bounce. I particularly like the placement: two at the front take out chassis twist while the two in the rear are far enough back to keep it from tilting nose-up but still reasonably close to the axles to kill suspension bounce. This is where I put my Boler 1700 rear stabilizers.

The frame looks like it is all level other than the rear step-up - no bends or steps up or down in the tongue. It also looks like the main rail to tongue transition is a mitre joint - not bent. Is that true of the 19', too?

The body looks like the bottom is flat at the floor level and sitting on the frame, so forward of the step it doesn't hang down below the frame top at all. This means the original (in the 17') "sponsons" are gone; again, is the 19' flat like this too?

I assume the receiver tube across the bumper and next crossmember is the "bike rack ready" feature.

Word of the 21' mold pictures being posted spread through the ranks of participants at Maryhill this past weekend. Sweeet!

No front window? Just the one on the drivers side? And no bathroom window on this model?
