Hello All,
We started looking for the travel trailer over a year ago. A friend suggested that we investigate some of the molded fiberglass trailers, and we instantly knew that that was the route that we would take. After looking at several of the other manufacturers we decided on Escape. The only issue that we were having a hard time getting around was how to pick it up or have it delivered. We live in Alabama and a trip to Chilliwack would be somewhere around 5200 miles roundtrip. However, once they started using the new form of delivery, that fee was within our price range and we pulled the trigger in July.

Our 21NE was delivered on November 11th. We chose that model because we had seen a 19 and really liked it and figured that two more feet would only add to the things that we liked about the 19. The extra 2 feet in the dinette really makes a difference, and the extra width of the whole trailer is noticeable as well. We could not be happier with our purchase.

We just returned from our shakedown trip had a local State Park, everything went as expected, maybe even better than expected.

I am happy to find this forum, I know my wife has already joined the Facebook group, but I am not on Facebook. I guess I am a little old school, and I still like the forum format. Hopefully when we get our feet underneath us a little better, we will be able to add to the wealth of knowledge that can be found here on the forum.

What is your initial thoughts on having to climb over during the night?

I have to warn you! Reading too much on this forum could cause you to want to make changes to your new Escape. There are a number of great ideas here for adding features, customizing storage and accessories, and generally making the trailer your own version of home away from home.

Welcome to the forum and don't hesitate to join right in! :thumb:

Amel,

Welcome from Texas! I hope you glean good thoughts and great ideas from this forum. It has helped me a lot. There are no stupid questions, except the ones that I ask!

Regards,

Fred M.

Welcome! I’m also on the Facebook group and it’s OK but I also like this forum format better. There’s a lot of useful info here.

First off, how did you know I was the one having to crawl over?

So far, it has not been a big deal for us. The extra width of the 21, 4 inches I think, means that the opening into the bed is wider than I remembered it being from the 19 that we looked at. And it is pretty easy to maneuver around and get up.

We needed the option to sleep 5, and added the bunk option to do that, so this was really the only option that fit our needs.

I will also give Escape props on the mattress, it is way more comfortable than I was expecting.

Congratulations on joining the Escape cohort.
Additionally your reasons for selecting the 21NE parallel ours as well, so we’re a rapidly growing sub-group as well. Glad to read your maiden voyage went well and we wish you many more excellent adventures yet to come.

Got to agree here. I've always been a "if it ain't broke..." sort. Reading here convinced me there were gadgets and DooDads that I simply could not live without.

Checking under the bench at the electrical stuff now looks nothing like the ETI install.
