Would be useful to know how many trailers were constructed with the mitered weld and how many of those have incurred problems with that weld, and possibly conditions under which those trailers were used (dry or wet climate). That would allow each of us to inspect our own trailers mitered joint and do our own risk assessment to determine the urgency of having this repair done. i.e. Does it need to be done immediately, can it wait a few months, a year, a few years, etc. In my case, I would most likely put it off till next summer and plan to stop off in Chilliwack for the repairs on the way to/from a summer vacation destination.

As Reace mentioned Dave, there were 700 affected, and all trailers in the range he mentioned with 3" frames were manufactured this way.
Boy, I go to sleep early one night and all #### breaks out. Unfortunate recall but let's try to remember to be civil to one another, we are all in the same boat.
Hi: LarryandLiz... My understanding is that Reace consolidated his frame shop and others last time they moved to the new facilities. Alf? Are frames made for ETI by some other company
Hi: jrn56... Reace has estimated about 1/2 hour to install the "Fish plates". A good welder probably less time. Prep grind and a fiberglass shield are necessary... Then a paint to finish. AlfCan this welding be done in the US for $50?
I believe all the frames listed are susceptible to this.So would be good to know out of a total of 700 frames, how many of those have had issues with the welded frame miter joint?
The were outsourced.? Are frames made for ETI by some other company
think of what is going on with a big company like Volkswagon and be thankful we are dealing with ETI
