We just got back from a 3 week trip around Colorado and South Dakota Black Hills. Based in Edmonton area we have a 2022 Escape 21NE picked up in November 2022 and tow with a 2017 Honda Ridgeline with an Andersen hitch. A few points about the towing setup, the Honda has no issues towing the trailer, lots of power. We usually tow with a 1/4 tank of water and try to dump shortly after leaving a site, fill with water when arriving. Some have expressed concerns about the Ridgeline towing capacity but I haven't had an issue. The Andersen hitch is amazing controlling sway and balances out the load fairly well. The total trip distance was 8100KM, a few passes over 9300'+. Make sure your breaks are set properly, if any weakness of the Ridgeline I would say upgrade the front rotors. A great trip and no issues. It started with camping at Cherry Creek in Denver then down to Pagosa Springs, Durango, Mesa Verde, Moab, and the Black Hill's. Always in State or National Campgrounds. We saw two other Escapes on the route some Casitas and a few other makes. It was our second big trip with the Escape, summer 2023 to Vancouver Island the other, and are starting to look to some modifications as mentioned on this site. Any questions about this loop message me.
