I haven’t run a stud finder along the rear padded wall yet, but looking for other’s experience. I modded the two leg pedestal table, shortening the length of it, tightening everything, etc. I would like to attach a wooden strip to the end wall just below the table top, to keep it from any wobble that is left.

Are there wooden strips behind the padded wall, similar to studs, at designated points?

I did a search and found a few other suggestions for the table wobble issue, but I think attaching a support to that end wall, in my case, would be a good solution.

Thanks.

FWIW, in limited explorations motivated by interests similar to yours, I detected no wood furring strips (vertical or horizontal) bonded to the shell in the area between the window and the floor on that back wall of my 2022 5.0. I have the benches only, not U-shaped dinette.

Thank you. Yes I have the bench configuration too. Appreciate it.

Looking at the build pictures of our 5.0 the only wood on the back wall is down low going left to right where the slanted wood is attached. At the level were the table sits when lowered to make into a bed.

So not a great picture, but I was able to resize the table, remove one pedestal and make it much more solid, while sliding better. I fit a piece of 3/4” thick maple from one bench to the other, on top of the strip where the filler board would fit. From that, I attached another piece of maple that attaches to the bottom fixed portion of the table (which I made from 5/8” ply so that it was stronger, longer and a bit wider. I also fit a piece of aluminum flat bar to the bottom of the table so the adjustment screw works better. Anyway, now the table slides properly, we can get in and out easily and there is a proper place for the dog’s bed. Fwiw.

What I did when I installed the Lagun mount. Had some scrap 5/8 plywood that I glued for some 1 1/4. Cut some of that to fit between the bench panel framing leaving a gap on top to fit a piece of 5/8 to create a horizontal top brace. On the bench seat support side of the 5/8 I screwed and glued a piece of 1X4 so I could pocket screw the brace to the bench seat support. On the other side the brace is screwed and glued to the top of the 1 1/4. More stable than I anticipated.
