A significant thunderstorm just passed by us at the Murray Beach Provincial Park in New Brunswick, Canada. Good thing the photo doesn’t show the thick layer of splattered bugs all over the front of the trailer! We’ve covered almost 8,000 miles and have about the same amount to go before we get home.

Where have you been so far?
Mike-
We left San Diego in the end of April, drove across the country for a niece’s wedding reception in Brooklyn, NY, then worked our way up to the furthest north end of Newfoundland, just in time for the Iceberg Festival. Now, we’re going to take the Trans Canada Highway to British Columbia and then head back to San Diego. Thanks for asking!

Suggestion: Pick up some Dawn Power Wash Platinum Spray and spray it on the front of the trailer (where the bugs splattered) and also the inside wheel wells and drive it through the next rainstorm. See if that removes some of the mess.

Make sure to re-wax after using Dawn soap. It also strips the wax.
They make products to remove bugs that does not remove the wax.
Donna D recommends, Bug Melt by PPC. Works good.
Harley Davidson has a bug remover that works good.
Drap a cloth over the area and warm water let soak , works good Alo.
Im sure there are others.

Nice design on your trailer. If on your way back, straight North to Campbellton and then North into Quebec on the Hwy 132 is a nice drive. Jardins de Métis near Mont-Joli is lovely.
Just wondering, what is your tow vehicle? We have an E19 and an old truck - 2009 F150 - looking to buy an SUV next year.

Awesome trip! May I ask where you store or park your trailer in SD? My daughter just bought a house there and the driveway may be able to just handle our trailer (23), but it would be tight. Do you have any suggestions? They live about 4 miles due east of Balboa Park. Thanks!

We keep ours at Toy Storage, 1180 Industrial Avenue in Chula Vista. The people there have been very nice to us. There’s also a place close by that’s called Big Toy Storage which stores RVs and trailers inside for not much more.

We tow our 17B with a 2016 Kia Sorento with a V6 and all wheel drive - I would not recommend it for your E19. Unfortunately, my wife and I don’t have much money and sometimes we have to make do with what we have though we’re still having fun. Thank you for the suggestion and your kind words. Safe travels.
