Alaska 2025

This is kinda outside what I'm planning for Alaska, but for those that are traveling in the future and want to stay at Provincial Parks, you NEED this info. Provincial Parks have statutory holiday minimum stay requirements (and so do SOME private parks). It's why on MY Itinerary I mentioned checking the RV park where you wanted to stay IF you were wanting a site for July 4 in Alaska.

Here's a list of requirements for the minimum 3 day stay at Provincial Parks:
Rules for statutory holidays
On statutory holiday weekends, you must reserve your campsite for a minimum of three nights
If the statutory holiday falls on a Monday, you must book Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
If the statutory holiday falls on a Friday, you must book Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights
When a statutory holiday falls on any day other than a Friday or Monday, no minimum stay applies

These are the stat holidays in BC for 2025: Statutory holidays
Um, did you mean to type "July 1" instead of 4? Canada Day.

No, July 4 because according to My Itinerary we are in Alaska. I'm going to be in Homer, specifically. Some US parks (typically private parks) have minimum stays around the holidays too.

Ah. I see. The mention of "provincial parks" threw my thinking off of Alaska and onto Canada. Carry on!

All, those that will be making reservations for Seward on Monday, I want you to know I'm not making reservations in Resurrection South, but in the main Resurrection campground. I want power at this campground and South is dry camping. I'm going to try for a water front site. Somewhere in the 553-574 range (all in yellow in map). Pics: Resurrection Campground

I couldn't get to open sites on the computer but finally did on my phone. By then it said no premier sites were available. I'm in 513. Can I come visit?

I just realized I have a longer stay. Changing dates makes it so there are 3 available sites. I need to decide what to do.

The only reason I wouldn't like to be in that site, is backs up to Ballaine Blvd. Maybe road noise doesn't bother you?

I have a question. Our tow vehicle has mud flaps front and rear. I never hear anything or see any marks on our 5.0 from rocks being thrown up.

Should we run a rock guard in addition to the mud flaps for this trip?

What are you doing, Donna?

Here’s our rig in Ohio…
