We won't be selling the Boler, but we will be selling our Casita ... yes I am a fiberglass trailer hoarder.
The Boler is so special and we use it for short weekends and special events. Many people have 2 cars, or their house and a vacation property, we have 2 trailers.

That looks like a pretty spiffy Boler!

And I just checked out your blog and it's one of the best I've seen.
Absolutely! Ian has earned quite of a bit of admiration for his work among the moulded fiberglass trailer crowd - of all brands - with his build documented in FiberglassRV.

Thank you all for your very kind words.
Getting the new Escape is going to be quite different, having a trailer I don't need to do anything to .... I am actually really looking forward to that, focusing on spending time enjoying more camping and trips.

Ian:

The rebuild of the Boler is magnificent. Congratulations on a great little trailer.

Our circumstances are similar, we spent four years completely rebuilding a 1955 Shasta 15' trailer. We love it but decided, for longer trips, we needed a bathroom. Also, setting up the bed each night and sharing with two large Labradoodles dictated a larger trailer. The time investment of rebuilding another trailer was too daunting. Thus we just obtained a used Escape 19. The Oregon Gathering will be the 19s maiden voyage, at least with us.

Good choice keeping the Boler? I can't imagine we'd let the Shasta go after that much work. But thinking ahead about which trips to take which trailer on gives me headaches. Too many choices.

It sounds like you're headed for the rally in Bandon. I look forward to seeing the Boler there.

Again a great rebuild.

Thanks Karen
The Boler has been a 3 year ground up rebuild, a very unique project, but also lots of fun

Thanks Hugh
Yes I am on my way to Bandon and I am very familiar with Shastas, In fact when I got the trailer appraised recently there were no comparators so I selected a variety of rebuilds, modifications and new trailers for them to use, I found a number of Shastas that I included.

Please make sure you introduce yourself, looking forward to meeting you and any other "Escapees"

A total off frame restoration, with superb craftsmanship. Man, I wish I were retired!....lol
I wish I were retired too, only 1724 days, 5 hours, 19 minutes, 48 seconds to go.
(yes I am serious, this is how long

Not like anyone is really counting - except wifey has a retirement countdown clock on her phone.....less than 40 workdays to go.

My retirement countdown clock is my office screen saver.
Boss takes a second look everytime they pass my desk ;D

There's nothing wrong with being a HOARDER! I now own two all molded towables (different uses) and FIVE vehicles... there again different uses.

My insurance agent loves me.....

I'm still of the fence with the Scamp. The idea of it sitting and not being used, makes me ill. Great trailer, needs to goooo and make memories. (I think I've attached human behavior to my toys). SIGH.

I have an emotional attachment to my vehicles too. And selling them is all too often difficult, but you have to move on and play with your new toy(s). :) Selling my Casita will be difficult. More like an adoption process. :-*
