Please share your experiences, good and bad. We have decided on a E23 and the options we want, now we need to decide what if any benefit in taking delivery at Retro Reno or at out home in Virgina.

Thanks Chris

I can only speculate, but picking your rig up at Retro Reno may be of benefit in that the folks there can walk you through systems, procedures, trailer/tug hook-up and just general rig information and details.
Also, your drive back home, not too terribly long, would give you some trailering and handling experience with your new rig.

YMMV

I haven’t done business with the folks but I did stop in to look at a couple Escspe rigs they had in stock. I wouldn’t hesitate to do business with them in the future. The gentleman I was dealing with was very accommodating to my needs.

I considered taken delivery from them, but I bought an inventory unit and they delivered it last week. I am totally new to RV's and was not comfortable driving from Chicago to Jacksonville in winter. ( I think I made the right decision, with the weather they just got hit with) Anyhow, I have had a few issues with my unit, and I am trying to get them resolved, but had I been at Retro Reon's they would have been able to take care of it right there. You will also be able to get the orientation, which I really think I needed. Good luck!

Retro Reno is a camper service mom and pop shop in Jacksonville, Fl. They have deal with ETI for service and deliveries for new campers. They also sell used ETI units, not sure if they are dealer owned units or consignments. Very nice people from what I have seen.

its reno as in renovation. They started the company by refurbishing old fg campers. They gradually transitioned to mods and installations for others

I contacted Retro Renos by email regarding swapping out our Dometic A/C unit for a Houghton. I did not get a response to my email in a week, so I called and left a voicemail. It has now been another week without a response from Retro Renos, so I cannot recommend them. Moving on to locate another installer.

** 12:23PM. Steve from Retro Renos called and sent me an estimate for the A/C swap **

I just called them to double check since it's good to have a US based Escape option and Daniel answered the phone in 2 rings.

Sorry you had an issue. Best of luck!

Got a delivery scheduled-E23 leaving Chilliwack soon-Spoke with the team at Retro, let them know what we needed. The delivery fee is the same, with a walk-thru demo & a shot at adressing issues on the spot. Like the idea of getting it safe to tow, then a 300 mile camping shakedown on our way home. First step, get it to Jacksonvile. Will share our experience soon.

As of 2024, their website sez "Retro Renos is proud partner with Escape Trailer!"

Retro Renos had a HUGE presence at Florida Egg Rally at Suwannee, near Live Oak: they showed three "model" trailers all weekend, a 23, 21 & 17; And they traveled throughout the rally looking at {and fixing stuff} on folks' trailers 🆓‼️

Plus, Samuel & Melisa flew in from Chilliwack 🇨🇦 for the rally.

We haven't used Retro Renos, or even been to their shop near Jacksonville, but they were all-around outstanding gals & guys...

We took delivery of a5.0 dental weeks ago. Retro is an awesome company consisting of two couples who have been involved in this style campers for some time. We had met them last year during an open house at their place, and quickly grew comfortable. During our purchase, we were working directly with escape, then contacted Retro to discuss the process. Retro helped us clarify questions about the 5.0 build, s well as set up the delivery process. And the tutorial is extremely helpful. You'll be glad you did. We are only two hours away so not a far trip to be a factor.
