my wife had to run up to Reno for a few days to deal with some real estate issues, she decided to take my Expedition instead of her Mercedes.... she's staying in Incline Village near Tahoe, at a friends place... she woke up yesterday morning to this...

I had to explain how to use 'snow' mode in the transmission, she said it was the easiest snow driving she's ever done (and she's from the Boston area). On this car, 'snow' mode softens the suspension, reduces the throttle response, puts the vehicle in Auto 4WD, increases the traction control, and relaxes 10 speed transmission shifting, all to increase control. I think it also modifies the steering response as this has electric power steering. In case you can't tell, its a 2019 Ford Expedition Limited "Stealth", which has pretty much every option.

We recently purchased a new suburu to replace our 2009 Honda Element. You are correct about the new driving tech. Never felt as safe in heavy snowy conditions as we do with the Ascent. The new tech in cars is a game changer.
