Basic rv for beginners,,,,

They turned mine on during orientation, did they do yours? Maybe Hit mode until you see fan, then make it say auto. Now go to mode, make it show the heat icon and turn up the temp.

These are good instructions from gocamp. Be patient with your button pressing. Make sure you let each action cycle before pressing next button.

Hi: bigalaska2012... Hope you feel the heat soon!!! In the mean time you could upgrade your status from wannabe, cause even with out the furnace blowing UR an owner now. Alf

No AC thermostat, just heat

Hi: bigalaska... We have the manual thermostat and the on/off tab is very finicky. When you think it's turned on it really isn't. Same thing with off. The furnace ran a whole tank of propane out!!! I learn the expensive way. :whistling:Alf

I agree. Many of us switched to that or a White Rogers because the mechanical one was pretty poor.

training for beginner RVs

cpaharley posted this link which looks like a good resources for total newbies to the travel trailer world. Does anyone else know of other good sources for folks who are just diving in to all of this? We pick up our trailer end of August, and I'd like to at least understand most of the basics! Thanks so much. I've been learning a lot studying thread after thread after thread... but am hoping there are other resources out there as well.

Escapees have a beginner forum (no membership required)

Beginning RVing - Escapees Discussion Forum

Honestly, youtube is a great resource (once you find an intelligent vid) if you know what search terms you are looking for (ie lighting rv oven or backing up trailer).

Hi Linda, All these resources are great but not that same as hands on. We live an hour away from you in Bremerton and would be happy to supplement your video / forum education with in person walk through of our '19. There are also others in PT with Escapes as well. The ETI front office can connect you.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Greatly appreciated. I will contact you folks in Bremerton by private msg.

Check you tube for videos. Plus the ETI orientation video is good to watch for beginners and anyone wanting to refresh their memory!

Hello All, Can you tell me how you like the storage box that is now made to go between the propane tanks and the actual trailer? (I have a 2010 17'). Did you have to pick it up or is it able to be sent?
