Hi Greg I saw ours didn’t look like others but let it go because window works great as is. Now I know those springs were missing . But if you can’t open like we can I would take the springs off and it makes the window look cleaner . I’d probably poke my eye out anyway . See you soon and can’t wait . Pat

In the beginning Escape did not install the bathroom window hold up clips that come with the window. The windows and screens stayed up on their own, however, as more trailers were built and more windows were installed, some were found to fall down without the clips. Ours was one of them. When we asked Reese about the window falling down, he basically said the some of them do that and gave us the clips to put in. I assume they soon just started putting them in all trailers since that is easier than trying to figure out which ones need them, and which don't. If you want to open the screen you need to remove them. Of course, one clip works just as well as two and is easier to use (only one hand needed to release the window). I keep one installed and remove it on the rare occasion I want to open the screen and use the "wand".

Does the bathroom on the Escapes need a window , either for ventilation or for extra light?

I love having the window in the bathroom. Leave it open for ventilation even in a storm.

So your E19 has the framed sliders. that is the first horizontal bath slider I have seen in an Escape.

We ordered the window and happy we did. Provides needed ventilation, especially if you shower in there, great to leave open while the trailer is unattended. Window cranks out at the bottom. Our screen is easily removed.

I rarely open the window but would not be without it just for the light. I put up a suction cup towel rack (for drying) and the only place large enough was spanning the window. The damp towel gets moved to the side the first time the door is opened for use later.

The only time our bathroom window is closed is while we are traveling or if it is very cold and we are trying to heat the trailer. It is a great way to ventilate the trailer as any dust that comes in can be easily washed away in the shower/dust collection chamber. We are also not to worried about someone forcing the window to get in.

Some people use the window to bring in a hose for a tank cleaning wand. I did that once and decided that the small amount mine opens and messing with the screen was too much for me. Instead, I got an adapter for the end of my shower hose and connect it to the cleaning wand. I just need water in my supply tank or be hooked up to water. The pressure likely isn't the same but should still do the basic cleaning.

If you use a cleaning wand you can pass it and your hose through the window vs. dragging it through the door and your living area.

Should’ve asked Escape to put a kitchen window in the bathroom. Guess the down side is everyone could see you shower.

Don’t have one and don’t miss it.
I do have a tension rod for hanging towels, wash cloth, hand laundry, etc that extends along the wall where window would be, so I wouldn’t see it anyway.
Now the kitchen window I would not be without.

Same here, haven't seen it before. The only issue I might have with that one would be you cant leave it cracked open in the rain. The two windows that we leave open pretty much constantly are the bathroom (cracked) and the one over the sink (awning style old framed windows).
