We have a 2017 Escape 19 with what Escape referred to as Dark Green graphics. When we purchased, belly band vinyl colors available were black or white. Chose white. Bad move. It’s yellowed, has some pink sections (no idea why) and is generally dingy. Found a source on eBay and ordered Dark Green vinyl band. It isn’t even close to dark enough. I could only find white, black and red on Amazon. Anyone have a good source? Can we get it from ETI now?

I don't know anyone who sits around camp contemplating their belly band. Black plastic is resistant to UV and looks just fine.

I don’t either Glenn. Although at time I have contemplated belly buttons, possum belly livestock trailers and belts in general. Have a great day

Contemplation? Straw man. It's a customization, just like anything else. Stock flooring works perfectly, but you don't have to keep it. Stock upholstery works fine, but some prefer a different color. Stock wheels function perfectly well, but some prefer aluminum. Why would changing a trim color be any different?

I changed my belly band to blue to match the graphics. Now if someone does contemplate my belly band everything will match and the contemplation period should be shorter.

Just like the decals, some colours last longer than others. Black plastic is more UV resistant, which is why the cable guy used black zip ties instead of white when running wire on my white house.
Which is why the dark green graphics on my trailer look like new after 12 years.

Of course some colors are more UV resistant. But were talking 20 bucks for a roll of trim. If it fades, it's cheap and easy to replace. Mine looks great 5 plus years in.

Yes, but the beer is more enjoyable when everything matches. This becomes even more important as you drink more beer.
I believe Robert, was the one who gave us the original link on ebay to order the band colors. Like his, mine's been on for about a year and a half and still looks like new.

Take an arrow, and hold it in flame for the space of ten pulses, and when it cometh forth you shall find those parts of the arrow which were on the outsides of the flame more burned, blacked, and turned almost to coal, whereas the midst of the flame will be as if the fire had scarce touched it. This is an instance of great consequence for the discovery of the nature of flame; and sheweth manifestly, that flame burneth more violently towards the sides than in the midst.

Didn't that guy write all the Shakespeare stuff?

Clever guy, if he did so.

And this above all! To thine own belly band be true!

Black plastic holds up better to sun exposure because carbon black (soot) is added to it to absorb and block the UV and mitigate the damage to the native plastic polymer bonds. Or so I've read.

I searched belly band on Amazon and got pregnancy attire.

Well, I got distracted by the flame, but this is the quote I was actually looking for.

I have silver graphics on the "Suite Escape" and ordered a white belly band, (Tammy at the time didn't think they made them, until I told her), and it has been just fine since 2009. However, I do keep her sheltered when not in use.:)
