I have a 2025 Toyota Land cruiser and picking up new 19 footer next week at Escape. The hight is just under 20 inches from the bottom of the receiver to the ground. Escape is saying the the 6 hole drop bar that comes with the Fastway E2 may not be enough by about 1 inch. I may have to go with a 8 or 9 hole drop bar which does not come with the E2. Any suggestions? Ken

I guess you could buy the 8 or 9 hole version. If it's not needed, return it.

fyi, you usually measure from the top of the inside of the receiver tube, that's also where the rise/drop of a given ball mount is measured. I'd go measure my Ford Expedition 4x4 except my wife has it in Reno for a few more days. I think 20" is pretty typical. Anyways, the top of the ball of my Andersen WDH is just about level with the top of the receiver tube. So was the top of the ball on the passive towbar I used with my stock F250 4x4... Of course, the F250 hardly drooped with the trailer weight on it, while on the Expedition, I need the WDH set pretty tight to bring it back as otherwise it sags several inches.

I bought a Reese 9-hole at Princess Auto not long ago. I think it was on sale or on clearance. I got it cheap, anyway.

Did you get the optional lift kit on the trailer? If not, it might be a consideration.

ok, my Expedition is home again. Sitting empty and unhitched, the inside top of the reciever tube is 22" off the ground. when its hitched and loaded it drops about 2" (soft suspension). My Andersen WDH is set so the top of the ball is level with the top of the receiver tongue. So yeah, 20" is the correct height for a standard suspension Escape.

note that if the top of the reciever is 22", the bottom is 20", whihc matches with yours. I bet if you put 500 lbs on your back bumper, the Land Cruiser sinks an inch or two.
