Bike Racks

Ben, I actually have the specs for that one open now. It was a favourite when I first bought the Swagman, but I mistakenly opted to save a few bucks. I saw that it would fit behind the tire, but was wondering if it folds up okay behind the spare when not in use? They claim 7 7/8"" from the center of pin to the folded rack, and I measure almost 9" from the center of pin to the back of the spare tire on my 19.

It folds fine. It is a little pricey but is high quality and has features some other racks don't have like locking cable for bike, (nice) lock for hitch, and bike clamp to service bike (makes changing tube easier). It holds our mountain bikes very securely.

Ben, How is the movement of the bikes, in regards to "motion" up and down etc. Do you use straps?
Thanks
Chapi

The rack has a wedge which when tightened, 'locks' it into the receiver so there is little movement of the rack. The bikes lock in tight with the shepards hook for the front and strap for the back so there is little movement overall.
I measured the clearance from the rack to tire and it was 5" (I have dual 6v batteries so I'm not sure how that relates to non-extended normal bumper).
