My grey tank pull handle is broken. Do I need to replace the entire valve assembly or is there a way to simply replace the handle? I have not gotten down on the ground to investigate this. Thought I would take the easy way out and ask someone who may have had this problem. Thanks, Sean

The handle is screwed onto the shaft (lefty loosey). You may have to grip the shaft with vise grips near the handle. As Alan stated, handles available from multiple sources, both plastic or aluminum.

As Charles stated, aluminum handles are available I went to Aluminum after road debris broke my two originals on the 19 and a couple replacement plastics on the (19 and 21) . Each time, Interstate 90 through Minnesota got me. I don’t ever take that one any more. US 20 though Iowa is much better and I like to spend my money in my state. I got my aluminum handles at a local camper dealer in Hiawatha Iowa called Ketelsen’s. I was there this week to replace a valterra sewer cap with the grey water garden hose hookup.feature as I often decant built up shower water and haul it to the dump station. There are some campgrounds where it’s permissible to put grey water on native plants in the surrounding woods. Not many though.

Dave - I've been RVing for over 50 yrs. Never knew about the sewer cap with hose outlet!. Never too old to learn. Thanks, Sean

Nice to know about the replacements available, thanks. 1/2 of my black water handle broke off, and I was wondering what I'd do (besides a vise grip) if the remainder went bye-bye.

Are the threaded rods all 1/4"?

All of them I’ve seen. For sure the 2010 and the 2013 escapes were a valterra product that were part of the drain apparatus and the metal T handles screwed right on and snugged down.

Thanks Dave, that helped me make my mind up about which one to get. I ordered a Valterra handle. Less chance of getting an incorrect thread pitch.
