This is the used 15A Reace and Tammy had for sale a couple weeks ago, we were so excited to get our hands on it after missing out on the last few 15s they made. Buying sight unseen is always a bit scary but the folks at Escape ensured us it was in very good condition. They weren't kidding, there isn't a mark in this thing! Camped one night on the way home but need to get out on a real road trip soon! Can't wait!

When you get 2 ft. itch lemme know. Have 21 year old who literally lives in a van down by the river going to college. His choice mind you, but there is no thermal package in that old Ford E150!

We were having the discussion the other day as to whether or not there was still government cheese available. Had to love Chris Farley. I never lived in a van but did have a 22 dollar a month basement room. My brother and I ate a lot of Asian pears we picked off a tree on the University golf course and fried rabbits on an electric skillet that we harvested on campus with a jack handle. Didn't hurt us and we both graduated on time without student loans. The 60s those were the days

Loved Chris...and Phil Hartmann. Yeah, its kinda weird....he was the one who got us into an inverter- got him a Cobra 2500 and spliced jumper cables to run it from under the hood. Interesting what you can do with a Vitamix, along with berries, dates, bananas, hemp seed, etc.
Am working to upgrade his bedding before he takes off again.

Can't beat a goose down bag with a canvas over cover and a flannel or soft wool liner. I have a surplus bag from the Dutch military. Bought at a garage sale, always in the Highlander along with my day pack after mid October to the first of April. You never know. We live the motto here. Be Prepared

I couldn't afford a van in college in the late 60s so I lived in a 58 Chevy panel truck. Our 21 is a lot more comfy.
 
Well, we did move up 2 feet (and 26 years) from our Lil Bigfoot but I think that is as big as we are going to get. Was a little sad when the old egg sold but it went to young family that plans to haul it up to Alaska this summer, it went to a good home...

Karen, our new tug is actually grey, but the blue graphics do look fine with it. Grey is much easier to match up than our old tug, a sunburst orange Dakota!

Other than having ETI add the front box the trailer was exactly how we would have spec'd it had we ordered it. Well maybe not the hot water tank but I really think we'll love not boiling water for dishes!
 
Okay, that brings up another question that may be of interest to others. I was told I had to decide fairly early on (back in 2013) if I wanted the front storage box because the frame would be different if I chose to get that option. Maybe that is no longer true.
 
I just asked if they could add the box and they said no problem. Not sure if it is because this trailer has the dual batteries up front or if the boxes have been modified to fit all frames. I do remember reading about the boxes requiring a different frame a few years back so I was happy to hear they could do this one.
 
Hi Dave- he is doing outdoor leadership at Feather River College in Quincy and wants to do some NOLS courses as well. Been home a few weeks and doesnt sleep inside. Last night he had his mattress outside his van. He's acquired a taste for the right gear so am not too concerned. He bought this 99 van that was used by a plumber with 200K miles a year ago for $2500. If it dies tomorrow we're still ahead and housing is tight in Quincy, CA.
