Camping in Winterized Escape

We have a different trailer, but the idea is the same: To avoid turning on the switch to the empty water heater, you can put a piece of tape over the switch in the OFF position.

There are a couple of places you can disconnect the AC power to the water heater. There is a switch behind the outside door at the bottom of the face of the water heater. There is also a circuit breaker in the converter that is labeled water heater. Turning either one off (or both) will protect the water heater electric element.

We flip the breaker when we're out camping.

The only time we use AC for the water heater is when we're in our seasonal campsite for a few weeks (or the entire summer this year).

We're OK with heating our water with propane.

Enjoy,

Perry
