Hello and nice to be part of this forum. I'm a Canadian expat who's been living in Japan for the past 20 years. As I don't think I'll ever move back to Canada full-time my retirement plan is to buy a small plot of land and live in a trailer for the six or seven weeks I'll be home for the summer in the eastern Ontario region.

I guess my first question is, are all new Escapes picked up at the factory by new owners or are there dealerships across Canada that sell them?

Cheers,
Rob

Welcome, Robert! Yes, All Escape Trailers are factory direct. There are no dealerships. The Escape factory does offer delivery anywhere in North America for a cost per mile. It is usually less expensive to pick it up yourself. Usually a 6-8 month wait from time of order until completion. Cheers!

That's an interesting plan. In that situation, I think I would want to pick up at the factory, camp southern BC for at least a few days as a "shakedown cruise", and tour through BC and across the prairies as my first year's trip. It's a week just to drive BC to eastern Ontario, but it would a lot more enjoyable at a relaxed pace.
