I bought a Champion 2500W Dual Fuel Inverter for my 19. I want to connect it directly to my low pressure supply but the fitting is different on the Inverter to the Standard fitting on the hose I have. I have searched everywhere, contacted Champion, no luck so far. Please look at the attached image. If you know where I can buy the Male Champion style fitting or know where to search for it, please comment. THANKS!

I found the correct adaptor at a RV sales place that had a large parts / accessor show room.
I tried all the hardware type of stores first, no go.
Camping World sells champion generators, they might have the fitting.

There is a bit more to it.........

You will need to retain the "demand regulator" (the big one) for this approach. The hose from the demand regulator to the generator is also a "specified" length and that little black barb at the gen fitting needs to be retained. (believe it cuts off gasoline flow?)

You can loose the initial high pressure regulator (the small one) when utilizing a low pressure (regulated) port.

But, get both!. For my Champion 2500 dual fuel I separated the demand regulator from the initial high pressure regulator and added a QC approach as shown below. I can use the trailer low pressure QC, or #20/#30/#40/etc.. tanks directly as needed. You can also use a "standard" QC propane hose extension if wanted to move the gen and demand regulator away from the trailer QC port.

See here for some ideas: (different model Champion - but same idea)

You should NOT connect the hose from the trailer quick disconnect directly to the generator. You need the large diaphragm portion of the included connection hose.

What is the specification for the propane quick connect that is by the stairs? I'd like to source one. Thanks.

Standard 1/4" propane female QC. Similar to this:

Here is the type of male you need.
https://www.hutchmountain.com/products/mb-sturgis-1-4-male-quick-disconnect

Or, with a hose and both ends:
https://www.amazon.com/DOZYANT-Pressure-Quick-Connect-Disconnect-Extension/dp/B06XK43NL3/ref=sr_1_1

There are two different type of end fittings. If I remember correctly.
The fitting on the ETI trailer takes one with (for lack of correct name)
a shouldered male adaptor.
I’m not where I can look it up. But I’ll try to post it later, maybe someone
else will pipe in.

Type 2?

The standard MB Sturgis 250 series 1/4" male works on mine...

https://www.hutchmountain.com/products/mb-sturgis-1-4-male-quick-disconnect

I also have the 1/4" male to 3/8" female adapter for my Honda / Hutch Mountain converted propane hookup.

I have seen some "proprietary" QC fittings, such as the one on the Champion genset in the OP (as they don't want you to simply hook up a propane line from a tank, regulated or not, as the demand regulator would be omitted) and on some Mr. Heater products....?

Camping World, Amazon, and Tejas Smokers sell the appropriate QD fittings. However, there are high pressure and low pressure fittings and although the are identical in appearance, they are not compatible with each other. A high pressure male fitting will not actuate the low pressure female QD that ETI supplies. A high pressure male fitting appears to have a “sleeve” in the end that goes into the female connector, a low pressure male fitting does not. Essentially, the low pressure fitting has a larger inner diameter. Be sure to purchase/order low pressure fittings. Also, what has been said about demand regulators is correct; they must be used on both high and low pressure systems after the primary regulator which reduces pressure from tank pressure to 11” of water column. The demand regulator does not reduce pressure, it regulates flow. It has a weak spring controlled valve which stays open under the vacuum of a running engine. When vacuum does not exist (engine stops), the spring closes the valve and stops the flow of propane. It is essentially a safety device. If the two are separated and the user puts both a male and a female on the primary regulator and a male fitting on the demand regulator, the demand regulator can be connected directly to the trailer’s QC fitting, or it can be quickly be connected to the primary regulator to be used with a 20 lbs or other sized tank.

I got mine from Amazon. Search for “propane quick connect “ and numerous options come up.
