We currently have a 2015 Casita Spirit Deluxe, 17 ft. We bought it new and have used it extensively. Last summer we camped near someone with an Escape 19. Wow. That extra 2 feet makes a difference.

So, I am actively looking for either a used, or possibly new, Escape 19. I know the Casita Forum was most helpful when I was looking at Casitas, so hoping this site can be the same (and it looks to be).

Cheers.

Many of us were originally Casita owners. Had a 2013 Spirit for a year, sold it and bought an Escape 21. No regrets.

Like many on this forum, we had a Spirit Deluxe before our 21ft Escape. On our pickup day at the factory in BC there were two Casitas in the lot, both people were ordering new Escapes. The sales person said to me that 30% of new Escape purchasers were former Casita owners.

welcome, Just sold my sprite deluxe and have a 19' ordered. we loved the Casita . we just wanted a little more room. The 19 looks perfect to us.

We also had a Casita 17 ft for 3 1/2 years. We now have an Escape 19. Those extra 2 1/2 feet in length, the wider aisle, more storage all make a big difference -- it's just functionally and visually so much bigger. Oh, and a queen bed! And a bigger refrigerator that's not down on the floor! Really the only downside for us (hubby really) is that the bathroom is smaller, which it's hard to believe that's possible. Just less room on each side of the toilet and no room behind it (and we stored some things there). But there's just a lot more storage room! Being able to pass each other in the aisle is great!

We camped in our 2007 Casita Spirit Standard for five summers. It was perfect for those weekend trips before retirement. It went out west each summer for a two week trip to Kellogg ID, and places in between. It had a salvage title, but only needed a new axle to fix (a drunk drove across two lawns and broadsided the Casita hitting the left tire perfectly and scraped a 4" diameter area on the fiberglass. Being it was a Standard, it had no fresh, grey, or black tanks, but without the bathroom, water heater, etc. had a boatload of storage space. A porta-potty was fine for us.
Sometimes we miss that Casita.

Before the Casita we owned a 16' Scamp. It was nice, but despite being a 2000 had the decor of 1975 and that small fridge. It was OK.

We're now retired and have a 5.0. Love the extra space and non-crawl-over queen bed. We've owned 14 previous campers and this is by far the best pulling camper we've ever owned. We're in heaven.

Enjoy,

Perry
