So I've just brought the Starlink Mini up here in Canada. It will run off a 12-20V/65W socket. Intending on powering it off my external dual DC ports on the trailer.

Brought the 12-20v 65W socket off Amazon thinking it just plugs into the 12V external port on my 5.0, but no it's a standalone insert, so I need to replace one of the existing external sockets. Has anyone changed out one of the external 12V or USB sockets?

If so how do you remove them? Just push out?

Typically they have a threaded ring on the back inside the trailer. Loosen the ring, unplug the wires, and slice the exterior caulk. It should then pull out from the outside.

One thing I have found very helpful when removing caulking from the outside of the trailer is to use a heat gun (or hair dryer). The heat softens up the adhesive and it’s super easy to remove with a plastic putty knife (or used up gift card). It is risky to use a box cutter to cut the adhesive, if it slips, you will scratch the trailer (don’t ask how I know!).
