Converting front dinette in 17b

Never tried this in our 2014 model. The pedestal separates from the floor easily but won't come loose from the bottom of the table. Is that a friction joint, threaded, or what? If friction would a little wd 40 help matters? Don't want to put too much force on the joint for fear of damaging the table sliding mechanism that doesn't look to rugged. Thoughts? Thanks all.

On mine it's the same friction fit on both ends. I just wiggle the pole until it comes loose.

Yes, as Glenn says, it is a friction joint, wiggle a little to loosen.

It's solid right now but I'll lubricate it and work it a bit.

Give it a wiggle, not too much or the mount may come away from the floor. If it doesn't come free, unscrew it from the floor and tap it with a wood block to loosen. A hammer will leave a mark.
