Hi all,

I'm new to this forum and seeking advice on how to pay for this 17b due in Oct., and getting a very good exchange rate.
I've been peeking in on occasion and getting some very good ideas on modifications. This site is definitely a very good source of info and I thank all of you for sharing your ideas. It has been the determining factor in selecting an Escape.

Thanks, Ron

Hi Ron! Welcome to the Escape Forum!

The U.S./Canadian exchange rate changes nearly every day. I was watching it the whole time our trailer was being built and, unfortunately, I think it peaked when we paid the balance due on our trailer. Last March 9th it was .765925 U.S. to 1.00 Canadian but by the time we got our trailer in June it was about .90 U.S. to 1.00 Canadian. Now we could have saved money if we had paid the balance a couple months early, but that's not something you can really anticipate.

We paid for the trailer with a fund transfer from our credit union. Tammy will send you all the information and account numbers and you just take that to your credit union or bank and they do the rest. I don't think there's any way you'll get any better than the "official" exchange rate on the transaction date.

That was our experience anyway. Once you see the trailer, you'll forget about any money you could have saved with a better exchange rate! Enjoy!!

Hi RonS and Welcome to the forum. ;)
The more the merrier. I too watched and sent money when I saw a more favorable rate. Not being a finance or currency expert, I just lucked out. Hopefully you will too. :)
