Two days ago Mary sent me a text, "David no longer walks the earth".

I considered David a very good friend, had many discussions over the years, camped and hiked with David and Mary a few times, and just were with them for two days last January.

He was a great soul and contributed greatly to the Escape Forum. Here's a link to his profile: https://www.escapeforum.org/forums/members/davidmurphy02-8278.html

He will be missed.

So sad to hear but thank you for passing along the news, Perry. We have lost a great person, and we will miss him very much. God bless you and rest in peace, David Murphy.

Sad news indeed.

I'm sure our upcoming trip to Utah will be so much richer for his in-depth itinerary suggestions. We will remember him often.

We’ve lost another wonderful member. Major prayers to Mary and family. He will be missed greatly.
Perry, thank you for keeping us updated. Greatly appreciated.

Thank you for letting us know. I am incredibly sad, although my only contact was David’s advice to me on the forum many times. One could tell from his posts what a truly incredible person he was. Please send our condolences to Mary-she is in our prayers.

RIP David.
You have left a big hole in this forum, and higher standards for us all to try and attain.

To sad..... To sad.....
WE all are sad to hear of one moving on, but have peace in your heart knowing that David has gone on to a greater adventure that we can't even begin to imagine. He'll always be with us that knew him and He'll always be watching our travels. Have comfort in knowing that he is well.

Thanks be to David for all he blessed us with.

R. I. P. David...... Happy Trails........

Thanks Perry for keeping us informed.

God bless David. He always had such a kindness about him, and he was very thoughtful to share his camping recomendations when he knew he was close to the end of his time on earth. I hope to visit some of his favorite places someday and will remember him in my thoughts and prayers.

One of the most kind and gentle souls it has been my privilege to know.

On the occasion of a recent visit with David and Mary during a lovely afternoon on their screened back porch, with birds singing in the surrounding trees and beloved cats lounging about, David described a dream of meeting again with his many passed canine and feline companions at the Rainbow Bridge.

David found comfort, and as Mary told me she does too, we now seek solace in that thought.

Rest In Peace, Dear Friend.

David was the kind of man, if you spent anytime at all on the EscapeForum, you knew you had a friend. Caring and sharing were only two of his qualities.

RIP David and may your journey be peaceful.

I appreciated all that he brought to the forum and all of the kindness that came along with his comments. I never met the gentleman, but feel a deep sense of loss with his passing. Rest in peace, David.

Thanks for posting this Perry,
We did not know David and Mary, but as others have said you felt you did from his knowledgeable, gentle way. We often thought they are the kind of people you wish would move in next door. Take care of yourself Mary.
