OK just did it!! Decided to move on a 19', production date August 15, deposit has been made, it's official!! Planning to pick it up as soon as it's ready and go camping, first time ever for both of us without a tent! We'll be towing it with our new 2017 Chevy Colorado duramax diesel, and I think it will be a great pairing. We're so excited, celebrating with Monday Margaritas tonight!! Whew, feels good to have the decision made, now on to the build sheet :).

The information on this forum about tow vehicles, etc. was so very helpful, and I'm very grateful for everyone who posts here. I'm hoping to repay the favor as soon as I get some experience as a new owner!

The fact that you are celebrating with Margaritas tells me you are very special people!! You are going to love your new Escape!

I can make one that will knock your socks off!! I think the name of our trailer might have to be Tequila Sunrise, or something like it!

Naming the Rig

To those who have ever driven White Bird Hill, it would be obvious that she should name her new rig after the Red Simpson classic “Diesel Smoke and Dangerous Curves”. And you can’t buy a better saddle than those that were made by Ray Hole in Grangeville Idaho.

I think you should bring your skills to the osoyoos gathering even though you won't have your trailer by then.

Congratulations!! See you on the road.

PS: Have been enjoying marguerites in Arizona and California for the last month in our 5 TA. Good thing you are practicing,

We just picked up our new 21 today! Off to Maui tomorrow so went straight into storage. But as soon as we are back out exploring we will go. Will also be going to the rally. Good times ahead.

You're gonna need an inverter to run the ice crusher off grid.

Of course, you could get a gas powered blender to help with mixing your drinks while off the grid.

Coleman

And to think Coleman thought they had done something when they came out with a dual fuel lantern. These mixers have been on the market a few years. I’ve only ever seen one in action at an Ohio State/ Michigan State football game tailgate area in Lansing a few years ago. Sounded like a weed whacker powered by a nest of angry Bumblebees.

You are going to be so happy. We got our 19 last April and have been thrilled so far. Looking forward to lots of camping this year. Hope to see you on the road or at a rally sometime. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

OK I'm now beyond convinced deciding to go with an Escape was the right decision, if for no other reason than we're obviously among friends with our fellow Escape owners. For sure, margaritas for everyone at the next rally, or wherever our paths meet! I'll have some sort of mechanized, motorized, or electric blending device to facilitate the festivities. Or worse case scenario, I'll just make them on the rocks!
