Dedicated DC external Starlink Mini port install.

Latest mod. Putting in a dedicated trailer DC feed for our Starlink Mini dish. The Mini will run off 12V direct but if using long cables you will have a voltage drop. So you need to step up the voltage. I took a 12V tap off the nearby USB/12V socket under the dinette. Installed a Victron 12 to 24V converter. This actually goes upto 30V which is what I set it to. (The Mini will work upto 24V). It also has a ‘remote’ pair of terminals for installing an on/off switch, which I also did. The actual external 12V port I found from a UK ETSY seller. So I can plug in the Mini directly with it’s supplied 30ft cable running over DC.

Yep I don’t fancy the idea of cheap Chinese electrical devices in my trailer. The Victron is great for this application.
