Hi, I have an Escape 19, 2022 model with the dining table that is mounted on two aluminum post that are on a level floor configuration. We’re unable to remove the legs from the table where the posts go into the round holes. Simply too tight and was wondering if any has had this problem and how it was solved? We cannot use the dining area as a child’s bed and we also cannot use the cot if we’re unable to remove the legs consistently without damaging. If anyone has had this I’d appreciate the help and advice. The cot was expensive and it is very frustrating to be unable to use the dining area for grandchildren.

We went with the Springfield pedestal table that can be raised and lowered easily. Bit of an expensive option, but makes life very easy

Back in the day before Lagun and Springfield table mounts came into common use this was a frequent discussion.

Yup, get a Springfield base, easy up and down and more room for feet under the table.

I would suggest getting a strap wrench and see if you can break it loose. someone might have put too much pressure on it and it became stuck. There is a product called Blaster in a aerosol can and can help with the project.

Give the underside of the table a wack with a rubber mallet or put a block of wood against the underside next to one of the poles and hit it with a hammer. They wedge in and they can get pretty stuck. A sharp blow should unstick it.

We did this and then wiggled the legs until they finally came loose.

Once you get them out, maybe add a dab of lubricant to make it come apart easier next time.
