FWIW, we use it at home too for delicate hand wash items, knives, graters, strainers etc.I kinda gave up on the dishpan stuff when I spent time in Arizona boondocking. I NOW use a dish soap that doesn't require water. Yes, to rinse, but not to wash. So dishes go in the sink and I scrub them with a sponge saturated with Dawn Platimum Powerwash. And then rinse. Love the stuff. Now using it in my sticks 'n bricks. YMMV
We do have a dishpan that fits in the 2015 5.0TA sink we bought at Walmart but they no longer stock the same size at local Walmart locations.I kinda gave up on the dishpan stuff when I spent time in Arizona boondocking. On another line of thought, we do not use Dawn Powerwash for dishes because most dishes go into the diswasher at home, and when we are out in the trailer, we typically use paper plates unless the meal includes a meat that requires cutting, then we use Corelle plates. We do not find it difficult to wash the eating utensils or rarely, the Corelle. I do however rely on Dawn Powerwash to clean my bicycle chains, spraying it on the chain and sprockets, then scrubbing with appropriate brushes, and rinsing with water. It works great for this purpose. I then use a leaf blower to dry everything and then lube the chain.I kinda gave up on the dishpan stuff when I spent time in Arizona boondocking. Without regard, or in addition to dishwashing, I like the look of those for various 'toting tasks' at the campsite (e.g carrying dining & cooking implements / condiments / etc to and from a nearby outdoor table). We have 2 of these, grey only when we bought them. One sits well in the sink for wash water the other on the counter with rinse water. they collapse well and store nicely under the oven.
That's too bad for your wife. I hand wash all my dishes, trailer and home and the Powerwash doesn't even dry out my hands.we 'discovered' Dawn Powerwash earlier this year. Sadly, we've got to discontinue using it, as its givng my wife bad rashes, even where it splatters on her.
btw, 1 part Dawn concentrate, 2 parts rubbing alcohol, and 7 parts water makes a refill of it. but there's no replacement for the foam sprayer.
if I use a bowl or a kettle in my cooking and eating, that bowl or kettle usually becomes my receptacle for dish water.
Yup, the Dawn foaming sprayer is nice. We just keep refilling it and cleaning it, until it is toast and start over again with a new Dawn Sprayer.we 'discovered' Dawn Powerwash earlier this year.
