My Dometic refrigerator would not work on propane. It worked OK on AC and DC but gas mode was inoperative and the Check light came on. I checked connectors and such as best I could with no joy.

By putting the refer into Diagnostic Mode per page 17 of this link http://bryantrv.com/docs2/docs/servtips.pdf I was able to force the refer to go into the various operating modes and I could hear the gas solenoid open and close, a noise absent during my previous starting attempts.

After sequencing through the diagnostic modes three times I was able to start the refer on propane and it has been working fine ever since. I suspect the long cold winter without refer operations had something to do with the anomaly and that the dagnostic mde sequencing solved the immediate problem.

There's nothing wrong with drinking room temperature beer. You get full flaver without the full flavor price.

Hello.

We've had similar "first time out this season" issues with the fridge and propane. I've come to the conclusion that it takes a bit of time for the gas to reach the fridge consequently the fridge stops trying to light and turns on the "check" light. The way to get the fridge to try some more is to turn it OFF then ON again. I have found that I usually have to do this three times (power cycle) the fridge the first time out each season.

After the first time it always starts and runs normally each time we go back to propane power.
